Thoughts on "Educated" by Tara Westbrook

Image
Hey guys!    I apologize for the hiatus. Throughout the past few weeks, my blog has been lingering in the back of my mind. Although I am not always consistent on here I am still always writing. I write journals, Wattpad stories, and poems. Hell! The way my brain functions is as if I am writing a story.    Anyways, I've had an awakening. A deep one that is tugging at the roots of my mind and heart. I can no longer take the resources I have and have had for years for granted. To give up would be to lose many possibilities that are out in the universe waiting for me....which is why I am back and back for good:)    Yesterday, I read the entire book of "Educated" by Tara Westover and I have never been more empowered and ashamed in my entire life. The memoir is about the daughter of a survivalist and how she outgrew the oppressive doctrine of her childhood. Through education, she created a mind of her own and became powerful with knowledge of everything no...

Reach out and touch someone

Hey KrissyCuters!!!! You guys are probably wondering where I've been. I've just been chilling since my summer started. I'll be going to highschool in the fall. I'm a little nervous. I do have some important things to discuss today about our world. Many things have been occurring since the last time I blogged. You guys probably heard about shootings in Dallas and the African American men being shot by police officers. What has the world come to? All of you have probably heard that phrase for years, but it's a good question. Over time the whole world has been falling apart. Everyday now someone has been killed or a child has been kidnapped. People all over the world are starving. What can we do to prevent or help out? I do my best to help and to make the world a better place, but it's a lot harder than I thought. I'm a young girl. I'm not on my own yet, but I have a yearning and burning feeling inside me to make a significant change in this w...

You look disgusting Reaction

Hey KrissyCuters!!!! I watched this video not too long ago by a youtuber named MyPaleSkin. The message in the video that flew throughout my brain opened my eyes to a lot of things I never payed attention to. The video will be linked at the bottom. Apparently, in the video she had no makeup on and all these people were calling her ugly and gross. She has some acne blemishes. After all the mean comments she started to putting makeup on. All the comments turned into compliments, but slowly turned back into hateful comments saying she was fake for wearing makeup. After all that she wiped all the makeup off her face and the last comment was "You look beautiful." It was very sincere and deep. Many people throughout their everyday lives suffer with really bad acne or just some acne. At one point I had some annoying acne, but it wasn't to the extreme, but I hated it. You will forever be beautiful no matter how much acne you have. Love yourself and love your body. If ...

Being Truly Beautiful

Hey KrissyCuters!!!! I know I made another post before this about beauty, but I still need to make sure I share the full message. There is something called beautiful, and ugly. You can be the most beautiful person in the world, but the ugliest on the inside. All girls have that tuff and ruff stage of wanting to be television girls. We must realize that its brainwash from the evil and corrupted media. You are beautiful the way you are, and if people tell you otherwise then ignore them. They are stick in the mud haters. Believe in yourself and you'll find happiness, and love. Life is full of beautiful creations, and you're one of them. Share this message of love with your friends and family. Make people feel good about their beauty too! Peace Krissy Cuters!!!!

What is beauty?

Hey Krissycuters!!   I wanted to blog today and discuss some issues that us women or girls have.  Beauty or being beautiful is something that is craved from every girl. We all want to be beautiful.  It's stressful watching the beautiful models on magazines and television. When you see it you want to be it. 8 out of 10 women aren't happy with their bodies, and that is a problem. Loving yourself is the first place to start to be truly beautiful. It's hard for me sometimes to accept the differences I have from television girls. I have to tell myself that some of it isn't real. You are beautiful the way you are, and I know many of you have probably heard that saying many times. It's sad to hear it some many times, but then not listen to the actual meaning. I wear my hair natural and afro like. That's my thought of African American beauty. My natural hair is me. Beauty is yourself. Beauty is what makes you, you. Beauty is what makes me, me. Beauty...

What is Passion and We have a purpose

Hey Krissy Cuters!!!     I hope you guys have all been having a wonderful week. I'm actually at school, but it's freetime so I have time to blog.   I haven't blogged in a while and I apologize for that. I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support. I really hope my blog is bringing you up when your down.     We all have that happy place and when I'm sad or when I feel as if there is nowhere to turn to I blog about my feelings.    Blogging is like a passion or maybe even a hobby, but it's something I love doing. It's like having a sport that you play or singing or dancing.    What is passion?  Passion can be defined in many ways. It's loving something and it's something that keeps you up at night. Dreams have the power to poison sleep.       Some of you might not even know what you want to accomplish at in life, and I'm even still trying to find my destiny. It's hard to find that passion, but w...

Indigo Children

Image
Hey Krissycuters!    What are indigos is probably what many of you are all wondering.  They are wise beyond their years. They may understand mature topics at young ages unlike other people.     I wanted to talk about indigo children, because I have had experiences that indigos usually have had. I find the topic very interesting. I have felt that I'm here for a stronger purpose. I want to help others that are in need or others that are mentally broken.    That is one reason I've made my blog. Some people don't have support from the ones who should love them, and they feel lonely.    One thing I have learned is that if you want to change the world you can't just try to change people from their regular mindset. You have to take it step by step, because they're are so many people on the planet.     This blog entry will probably only be seen by several people, but I'm willing to push myself up to a point where I know people a...

Book Review ( To all the boys I loved before)

Hey KrissyCuters!!     I can't even speak! I'm so pysched about this book. Jenny Han's writing had me hooked into the story. Every page and every word was apart of a movie in my mind!    I loved the connection with the song girls as sisters! It was very dramatic and Lara and Peter's relationship! Don't get me started on that!  It was everything I loved built into a story.    I haven't read the second one yet but I will very soon!!! I read this entire book in less than 24 hours and it's 72 chapters. I couldn't stop reading it! I was addicted to the characters.     This is a heads up to anyone who is about to read this book. Once you start reading you can't stop. I watched an interview with Jenny Han talking about the hatbox and the letter idea.     It was based off of what she did as a teenager when she had crushes. She'd write a love letter expressing how she felt and then put it a hatbox to get over ...

The Blizzard and being Trapped

Hey KrissyCuters!!      I hope you all have been well. My week has been boring and dry. I spent my day inside my house, because of the blizzard we had.    I didn't have school all week!              I watched videos on youtube about some beauty tips on Michelle Phan's channel. Unfortunately, I made a mistake with one of the tips.    She said that rubbing your lips with a toothbrush with lip balm on it will help you get fuller lips. I saw another tip about rubbing cayenne pepper on your lips. That is what I thought it said.    I brushed my lips with cayenne pepper and my lips were on fire! These are the types of crazy things I do when I'm dying of boredom.    I checked the video again and I was supposed to have mixed the cayenne pepper with some other substances. I was mad at myself. My lips were burning. My lips did get a little fuller. Beauty is pain. ...

Keep Trying

Hey KrissyCuters  I just wanted to share quick message with you all. Sometimes you may be working very hard for something, but you realize the things you do aren't working.  That is common when you are striving for something grand and wonderful. Nothing worth having comes easy.  The main thing is to put forth your best and to keep moving on. Something might not work and you have to try again. There may be nothing you can do, but you have to keep moving on.   I'm just going to completely honest with all of you. I'm working very hard for something and it is very hard to accomplish. I just felt a bit down, but making this blog helps me keep it positive.   Just keep pushing foward and love yourself. Every step you to take to your success take it with effort.  Love you all!

Update and St. Mary's Ryken

Hey KrissyCuters!  I apologize for not blogging in a while. I've been very busy. I'm working on getting into a private high school, and it is a lot of work.   The highschool I went to for a shadow day was St. Mary's Ryken. The school is very beautiful, and the people there are very kind.  I met their drama constructor and I sat in a class with tenth graders. I went to a Spanish two class. I knew all the Spanish. I had a spanish teacher during the years of my homeschooling.  Their food is way better than any other school food I've tasted. It was very hard for me to choose what food I wanted to eat.     It was a wonderful experience and I'm still moving foward into getting in. Please wish me luck KrissyCuters. I need all of your support on this!  I will blog again on Wednesday! Stay warm there is a blizzard coming!   Peace KrissyCuters!

Inspiration and Happiness

Welcome KrissyCuters!  It is now 2016. My blog and I have traveled far. I've been with my blog for one year, and I crave for bigger achievements this year.     Today I want to talk about inspiration and being happy. All of us are inspired by something. It may be a field you're in or a person you love.     Inspiration is on my chart of favorite words! Inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something.     I have an inspiration to write. I'm inspired by so many people in my life. My mother is my number one inspiration, because she is an incredible writer. I'm inspired to do more in my life not just writing but maybe even acting or dancing. I want to live life to the fullest, and we all should. Tomorrow is not promised.  What inspires you to love what you love or do what you do?   Don’t let anyone bring you to a point when you feel like you are nothing.   As a te...

HAPPY NEW YEARS! Blog Anniversary

Hey KrissyCuters! I wish all of you a Happy New Year! I have submitted my blog to search engines. I'm very excited that more people will be able to view it. Today I'm going to open up to all of you about how much I love my blog. My blog is a part of my heart, and I'm going to enhance all of my topics for 2016. My blogs will be longer, and broader. I will also talk about more ideas that I love very much. One the biggest things that I love to discuss is conspiracy theories. I can't get enough of conspiracies. I will have tons of blog articles about that so get ready! Before I close up today's blog I want to show you all a poem I wrote about changing the world. I wrote this poem on 11/20/15 Why are we here? We are here to make a change To make all men worthy of his name We need to learn to love each other So it will be the hate we cover We must open eyes of the blind We must teach the ones who are not kind Let's all sit and pray together So we...

Fun Facts!!!!

Hey KrissyCuters!! Usually, I blog about a certain topic on Wednesday, but today I have decided to switch things up! I just want to remind all of you that my blog's anniversary is tomorrow.  I can't believe the year went by already. Time flies!  Anyway it's time for us to get into today's activity!  I'm going to share five fun facts about me! I realized I haven't really told you guys about anything I really like. That is about to change! 1. When I find a topic or a person that I become interested in I get obsessed.   For example when I was about ten years old I found out about a girl named Shirley Temple. She was an actress during the 1930s and 1940s. I drew pictures of her and cut them out. I played with the cut out like a doll. I was a bit crazy. 2. I love pink! The majority of my clothes are pink! I remember when I was younger a girl I used to know took a pink marker from me. I was so mad! I laugh at that memory all the time, bec...

Merry Christmas and Blog Anniversary!

Hey KrissyCuters!  Sorry for blogging late. I had relatives over for Christmas, and I was recovering from all the excitement.  I hope all of you were having a wonderful Christmas! I got a mini water fountain and a diary with a lock.  My mom gave me a book on secret societies. Believe it or not topics like that interest me.   My blog's anniversary is on New Year's Eve. I will be submitting my blog to a couple search engines! I love my blog very much, and I hate it when I forget to update it.  It is one of my passions, and I'm going to start writing about more interesting topics during 2016!  Thank all of you for your wonderful support on my blog! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!! Bye KrissyCuters!

Update and French!

Hey KrissyCuters! I apologize for not blogging on Wednesday and for not blogging yesterday. Unfortunately, I had a violin concert on Wednesday and I got home very late.  Yesterday I went out all day for my cousin's birthday. I have some good news to tell you all about. Today I have decided to start learning French. I have learned to say a couple things already.  I realized that since I had been learning Spanish for so many years it has helped me get pretty far in French already. The French word "Bonjour" may seem easy, but it's harder than it looks. The r at the end of Bonjour must have that raspy sound coming from your throat. That sounded so weird, because I have no other way to explain it. The sound of r in French is made by your throat.  I can’t explain it any better than that. I love all the French words, because they all sound beautiful. Here are somethings I have already learned! Je M'applle Krissy!  That phrase mea...

Ears Pierced!

Hey KrissyCuters!  I hope all of you have been having a wonderful weekend, because I sure am! Believe it or not my ears were not pierced yesterday. My ears were just pierced today.  I was a bit nervous, but it didn't hurt at all. It was like a little pinch, and it was done.  Unfortunately, we had to go back because I realized that one of my earrings were lopsided. Luckily, they were able to fix it.  The earrings are Garnet and I got them done at Piercing Pagoda. They have a very good selection of earrings.  Go ahead and comment about your first piercing!  Some say beauty is pain. Let's put life into writing! Bye KrissyCuters!
